This process might seem simple, but a more formal risk evaluation follows a sim ilar plan. More time is spent on each operation, and the process gets more spe cific. The following steps are taken in a formal evaluation: 1. A formal financial impact statement is prepared for each risk. This includes calculating the potential for monetary loss if the risk becomes a reality. 2. A business impact analysis (BIA) is prepared: a. For each risk, it is determined what will happen if risk becomes reality. b. For each risk, it is determined exactly how much time in days or hours can pass before the business goes out of business. c. Each risk is ranked according to this time factor. It is more important to first address risks that have the most devastating impact on the busi ness that is, which cause a faster demise of the business. 3. A risk mitigation plan is prepared. The risk of intrusion via the Internet, for example, might be reduced by the deployment of firewalls and intrusion detection systems, or the risk might be transferred to another company by outsourcing the management and procurement of these security defenses. Risk might also be avoided by not taking an action. Plans to develop a Web site that allows customers to manage their own data might be stopped if the project is deemed too risky.

The DISTINCT operator first eliminates duplicate zip codes. If 100 customers live in the same area with the same zip code, their zip code is counted only once. After the duplicates have been eliminated, the COUNT() function counts the number of items left. Any field with a null value is automatically eliminated from the result set operated on by the aggregate functions. The COUNT() function also ignores values with null values. The aggregate functions AVG(), SUM(), MAX(), and MIN() return null when evaluating an empty collection. The COUNT() function returns 0 (zero) when the argument it evaluates is an empty collection. If the following query is evaluated on an order with no line items, the result is 0 (zero) because the argument is an empty collection:

In Active Directory, all of the objects in the forest are represented in the directory tree, a hierarchy of objects and containers. For each forest, the directory tree is partitioned to allow sections to be distributed to domain controllers in different domains within the forest. Each domain controller stores a copy of a specific part of the directory tree, called a directory partition. A directory partition is also known as a naming context. The copy of the directory partition is called a replica. A replica contains all attributes for each directory partition object and is readable and writable. In the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system, the replication process ensures that changes made to a replica on one domain controller are synchronized to replicas on all other domain controllers within the domain.

The Baldwin Museum of Science was established in 2002 to honor the technical genius of people using technology to better the world. The ORDER BY clause allows you to specify the order of the entities in the collection returned by a query. The semantics of the ORDER BY clause are basically the same as in SQL.
